Interanational Road Safety Workshop by ADB

On June 3, 2025, Artyom Petrosyan, President of AORA and Head of Road Safety and Mobility at Armenian Automobile Federation, participated in the Armenia Road Safety Workshop organized in collaboration with the Asian Development Bank and attended by key government and international stakeholders. This event brought together experts across different agencies to assess current road safety challenges and explore opportunities for transformation through the Safe System approach.

The workshop featured thought-provoking presentations from global and regional experts, including Dr. Soames Job, Senior Road Safety Management Specialist, and representatives from the Armenian Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, iRAP and the National Road Safety Council. Participants engaged in hands-on group discussions addressing infrastructure safety, speed management, road user behavior, and the institutional leadership needed to scale impact.

Events like this underline the importance of intrasectoral collaboration and data-driven strategy to reduce road fatalities and improve mobility safety. As part of Armenia’s road safety ecosystem, the Association remains committed to fostering partnerships and supporting effective solutions that prioritize lives and well-being on our roads.
